A 48-year-old man has been arrested as part of an ongoing investigation into child pornography in Co Galway. The man was arrested yesterday in Gort under section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
The man, believed to be from south Co Galway, was taken to Gort Garda station for questioning and can be held for up to 24 hours.
“The man was arrested following an ongoing investigation into child pornography,” gardaí said.
