Man appears in court over Shane Geoghegan killing

A man appeared at Limerick District Court today in relation to the murder of Shane Geoghegan.

A man appeared at Limerick District Court today in relation to the murder of Shane Geoghegan.

Barry Doyle (22) of Hyde Road, Limerick, came before a special sitting of the court at 4pm and was remanded to appear there again on March 6th.

Mr Geoghegan (28) was shot dead on a Limerick housing estate in the early hours of November 9th.

He was returning home from watching the Ireland-Canada rugby game at a friend's house in the Kilteragh estate, Dooradoyle, just after 1.30am.
