An unemployed Co Tipperary man has pleaded guilty at the Central Criminal Court to the manslaughter of another man in Nenagh last year.

Thomas O'Brien (26), unemployed, of St Joseph's Park, Nenagh, Co Tipperary, admitted the manslaughter of Mr Christopher Curtin (44), an unemployed bachelor of Casement Park, Nenagh, at the town's Castle Field on February 6th, 1997.

Mr Justice Carney remanded O'Brien in custody for sentencing on October 9th next.
