A young man who admitted three arson attempts at Killiney Castle Hotel, Co Dublin, between February and May 1996 has been remanded on bail for sentence on March 24th. David Smith (20), with addresses at Killea Road, Dunmore East, Waterford, and The Hawthorns, Saval Park, Dun Laoghaire, pleaded guilty to three charges in Dublin Circuit Criminal Court yesterday.

Judge Joseph Mathews asked for a psychiatric report to be prepared.
