A 60 year old man admitted seven charges of rape and sexual assault yesterday relating to a girl and two boys in Galway over three years. He was remanded in continuing custody by the Central Criminal Court to June 13th. The victims were aged from six to 11 at the time of the offences.
The defendant pleaded guilty before Mr Justice Flood to charges of oral rape and sexual assault of each of the boys from January 1995 to February 1996. He also pleaded guilty to oral rape of the girl on a date from July to September 1996 and to sexually assaulting her in 1994 and again in 1996.
