A 41-year-old businessman appeared in Dun Laoghaire Court yesterday charged with a sexual assault on an 11-year-old boy in a Co Dublin swimming complex last Sunday.

Garda Eileen Kelly told the court that after she arrested the Co Tipperary-born man at 5.15 pm. he replied: "I suppose I did it and that's it."

The man who is accused of assaulting the boy at Glenalbyn Social Centre in Stillorgan. Co Dublin, was remanded on his own bail of £100 to appear at the same court on February 5th. Judge Brian Kirby ordered that a condition of his bail is that the defendant stays away from the Stillorgan area.
