A man has died in Co Kerry from injuries he received in a car crash earlier this week, the Garda said.

A man has died in Co Kerry from injuries he received in a car crash earlier this week, the Garda said.

The collision occurred on Wednesday at 10.40am at Ballinsteenig, Lispole, Co Kerry.

Cornelius Brosnan (56) from Annascaul was seriously injured when the vehicle he was driving collided with another.

He died from his injuries today at Kerry General Hospital, a Garda statement said. Gardaí at An Daingean are investigating.

Mr Brosnan's death brings to 57 the number of people killed on the State's roads so far this year, according to Garda figures.
