Man (35) seriously injured in Cork fire

Gardai in Cork are investigating a fire which broke out at a house on the North Mall in the city overnight.

Gardai in Cork are investigating a fire which broke out at a house on the North Mall in the city overnight.

A 35-year-old man was seriously injured in the blaze and is in a critical condition at Cork University Hospital. Three other people were treated at the scene by ambulance personnel.

The fire broke out at about 12.30am. The scene has been preserved for technical examination.
