Man (27) dies in Limerick crash

A 27-year-old man died after the car he was driving crashed into a ditch in Co Limerick this morning.

A 27-year-old man died after the car he was driving crashed into a ditch in Co Limerick this morning.

The crash happened at 9.40am on the N24 at Ballysimon.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene and his body was taken to Mid Western Regional Hospital where a postmortem is due to take place later today.

The road has reopened following a forensic investigation.
