Man (25) dies after Tipperary crash

A 25 year-old man has died following a road crash in Co Tipperary this afternoon.

A 25 year-old man has died following a road crash in Co Tipperary this afternoon.

Gardaí have appealed to the public for information on the single-vehicle incident involving a van at Traverston, Dolla, shortly after 4pm.

The dead man, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was fatally injured when the van went into a ditch.

The driver, a 36 year-old male, was injured. He was taken to Nenagh General Hospital. His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.

The fatally injured man was taken to Limerick Regional Hospital where a post mortem examination will take place tomorrow.

The road remains closed for technical examination and diversions are in place. Anyone with information is asked to contact Nenagh Garda Station 067 50450, or the Garda Confidential Line 1800 666 111.
