A man (41) died this morning when his bike collided with a truck in Tallaght.
The crash happened at 9am at the junction of Belgard Road and Embankment Road.
Elsewhere, a man in his 50s died after an overnight car crash in Co Clare. The man's car left the road and hit a wall near Kilshanny at around 8.40pm.
He was taken to Ennis General Hospital for treatment but died several hours later.
So far this year 166 people have died on the State's roads.
