ROME - The Neapolitan blaze which completely destroyed Venice's magnificent La Fenice opera house on January 30th, investigators said.
Mafia hitmen torched the opera house, acting on a request from a renovation company hoping to sidestep a fine it risked having to pay after running behind schedule, they said.
