Spain has revised down the official death toll from the March 11th suspected al-Qaeda-linked train bombings to 190 from a previously released figure of 202, the Interior Ministry said today.
"It's possible there will be a slight variation once we have matched up all the DNA, but up until now the number of victims is 190," Ms Carmen Baladia, director of Spain's Forensic Anatomical Institue told reporters.
She said the death toll came down after individual body parts were matched to the dead or injured.
