Motorists heading for the M7 this afternoon have been warned to expect delays after a collision at the Naas junction forced the closure of part of the motorway.

The southbound lane of the M7 was closed to traffic at Naas North (J9) for some time this afternoon following the incident, and diversions were in place. The road has since reopened, but AA Roadwatch is warning that it will take some time for delays to ease.

Traffic was diverted from the motorway at Naas North, but was able to immediately re-enter the M7 after the roundabout.
