A Louth man has been held in custody at the District Court in Carrickmacross, Co Monaghan, on a sex assault charge.
The man (67), who cannot be named for legal reasons, was yesterday remanded in custody to Carrickmacross court from a sitting at Virginia, Co Cavan.
The charge relates to an alleged sex assault at Main Street, Carrickmacross, on May 12th. He will appear again on July 13th.
