Dr Mary Grehan is to seek the nomination to run for the Progressive Democrats in the Louth constituency in the next general election. Based in Dundalk, she is a founder member of the Association of General Practitioners and led last year's successful High Court challenge to the withholding tax.
She has also carried out surveys into abnormal health problems in the Dundalk area.
