Tonight's Lotto jackpot will be the third biggest jackpot ever.
After nine rollovers the prize fund for the mid-week draw is expected to top €11 million. The National Lottery said on average 1,200 tickets will be bought every minute between 4pm and 7.45pm tonight and sales are likely to total €6m by the close of business.
The last time the jackpot reached such heights was last December when it ultimately went on to roll to over €13m.
