The National Lottery's promotion of the visit to Ireland by the US aircraft carrier JFK has been described as "a flouting of our country's neutrality" by
Comhlamh, the Irish Association of Returned Development
Workers.
The association said the JFK had been used to launch air attacks on Baghdad during the Gulf War. This had resulted in the deaths of "countless thousands of civilians".
