A 25 year old motorist, Mr Brian Kane, from Ballinalee, Co Longford, died early yesterday morning when his car went off the road at Newtownforbes, Co Longford, and hit a tree. The accident happened at about 2.30 a.m. No other vehicle was involved. Mr Kane, a single man, was travelling alone.
