Edinburgh - Scottish prosecutors called yesterday for the trial of two Libyans for the 1988 Lockerbie bombing to be postponed because the defence had kept witness lists and documents secret until the last minute.
Crown Office prosecutors said they had applied for the long-awaited May 3rd trial to be put back so they could have time to study details of defence evidence and witnesses that have yet to be divulged. Defence lawyers plan to call as many as 119 witnesses from a number of countries including Libya, the United States and Germany, the prosecutor's office said.
