Liverpool and Dublin twinned

Dublin and Liverpool tied the knot after centuries of close cultural and trade links when they became officially twinned yesterday. The agreement, following three years of discussions, had to overcome a series of objections by supporters of the Orange Order which has a strong presence in Liverpool.
