A 61-year-old lifeguard has been found not guilty of sexually abusing a young girl over a two-year period at a Dublin swimming pool.

The accused was cleared of seven counts of indecent assault on dates in 1990 and 1991. During the three-day trial, the victim (now 21) had claimed the man had abused her at swimming training when she was between 11 and 13 years old.
