Sentence on n convicted rapist who kid napped two girls when he was freed on licence has been adjourned for another week at Belfast Crown Court for medical reports. The prosecution has asked that he be jailed for life.

Mark Thomas Clarke (29) refused to be examined by a psychiatrist after being convicted in September of kidnapping the girls and assaulting one with intent to rape.

At the time Clarke, a Belfast man of no fixed abode, had been out on licence from prison where he had been serving a nine year term for rape and attempted rapes. Yesterday after hearing prosecution calls for a life term, Clarke's lawyer Mrs Cinnamond QC told Mr Justice McCollum he would make arrangements to have Clarke examined "right away".
