MONROVIA Rebels armed with grenades and primitive weapons seized Liberia's central bank in the capital, Monrovia, demanding the reinstatement of its sacked governor, police said yesterday. Hours after police and troops surrounded the building, the governor left following the intervention of Liberia's chief faction leader, Mr Charles Taylor.
