Ireland's first cross-Border ecotourism conference takes place in Co Leitrim today.
The Carrick-on-Shannon event is organised by the Irish Tourism Industry Confederation, the La Nua Eco Housing Project and environment group Greenbox.
Greenbox aims to deliver environmentally sustainable tourism products, accommodation and attractions within the context of clean natural resources in Border counties such as Leitrim and Fermanagh, as well as parts of Donegal, Sligo and Cavan.
Today's conference is chaired by Western Development Commission chief executive Lisa McAllister and will be addressed by representatives of Greenbox, the Irish Cross Border Area Network and Fáilte Ireland.
Guest speakers from the United States and Norway will also attend.
