Racing: This evening's cross-channel race meeting at Leicester has been abandoned due to a waterlogged track.
Clerk of the course Jimmy Stevenson held a thorough inspection of the track and despite some improvement, a number of areas are still not fit for racing.
He said: "We've had to call it off. Although 95 per cent of the track is raceable, we have just a few patches which are not safe."
