A native of Sierra Leone has waited eight months for a decision on his appeal against the refusal of the Minister for Justice to grant him refugee status, the High Court was told yesterday. In the meantime the situation in his native land has deteriorated.

Mr Edward Kabah, with an address at Granby Row, Dublin, was granted leave from Mr Justice O Caoimh to seek an order directing the Minister to provide him with a rehearing of his appeal in the light of the changed situation in Sierra Leone.
