A solicitor was given leave by the High Court yesterday to apply to quash a Law Society decision to seek an inquiry by the disciplinary tribunal of the High Court into his conduct.

Mr Justice Johnson gave leave to Mr Giles J. Kennedy, Eccles Street, Dublin, to seek a judicial review of the purported decision and a number of other orders against the Law Society. He is also seeking an order prohibiting the Law Society, by its Compensation Fund Committee, officers, agents or otherwise, acting in pursuance of the decision communicated to him last February.
