Pubs, clubs and apartments were evacuated in Dublin city centre after a large fire broke out.

Pubs, clubs and apartments were evacuated in Dublin city centre after a large fire broke out.

The fire in a shop on Aungier Street was brought under control by seven units of Dublin Fire Brigade.

A flat above the shop was unoccupied at the time of the fire which broke out about 11.15pm. No injuries were reported and Augier Street has re-opened, a Garda spokeswoman said.
