Large fire at Dublin recycling plant

Five units of the Dublin fire brigade are tackling a large fire at a Greyhound recycling plant in Clondalkin, Dublin 22.

Five units of the Dublin fire brigade are tackling a large fire at a Greyhound recycling plant in Clondalkin, Dublin 22.

The blaze at the plant on Craig Avenue has been ongoing since around 1am this morning.

According to a fire brigade spokesman emergency services are using diggers to remove material which is on fire from the scene.

A large amount of smoke is rising from the plant but nobody in the vicinity has been evacuated.

The fire services expect to attend the scene for another few hours.
