A 54-year-old woman has been charged with murdering of her husband at the couple’s home in Co Laois in August last year.
Mother of four Ann Burke was charged with murdering 55-year old Pat Burke (55), at their home in Ballybrittas, Co Laois, in August 2007. Mr Burke died from a number of blows to the head.
His body was discovered in a downstairs bedroom after gardai called to the house shortly before 11pm on August 19, 2007.
Judge Coughlan remanded Ms Burke in custody to appear at Portlaoise District Court on May 9, at 10.30am.
