A new jury in a murder trial will be sworn in on Monday after a court was told that there no judge available to hear the case today.

As a result, the jury in the trial Derek Wade (27), of Church Avenue South, Rialto, Dublin, was discharged.

Mr Wade is accused of murdering Song Zhi on June 29th, 2005, during a robbery on Reuben Avenue near the South Circular Road. Mr Wade denies murdering Song Zhi.

Mr Justice Paul Carney said the court had a problem with cases over running and that he was aware that witnesses and the victim's family had travelled from China for the trial.

The trial will resume on Monday with a new jury before Mr Justice Barry White.
