The failure of the Budget to provide tax relief for child-care payments "shows this Government's hollow commitment to women in the labour force," says the National Children's Nurseries' Association.
Child care professionals "are fighting an uphill battle to maintain a high level of daycare service with no help from either the Department of Health or the Department of Equality and Law Reform," it said.
