LONDON - Ladybirds are promiscuous, ridden with venereal disease and eat each other, says an expert on the black and red spotted creature's sex life.

But Cambridge University researcher, Dr Michael Majerus, says the creatures awesome sex drive actually, damages their chances of survival by wasting some of their limited supply of eggs.
