Ms Bridin Twist, a Labour Party election candidate in Clare, yesterday announced her resignation as president of the Irish Countrywomen's Association (ICA). Ms Twist, whose three-year term of office was due to end on May 24th, said she was stepping down early in the best interests of the ICA.
