BONN - Support among Germans for the Chancellor, Dr Kohl's government is waning further, according to a poll carried out for the German public television station, ZDF, published yesterday.
The Politbarometer poll conducted by the Electoral Research group reported that 62 per cent of Germans interviewed in May thought Dr Kohl's government was doing a bad job, the highest level of dissatisfaction for four years. Dr Kohl's personal popularity also slid from 45 to 42 per cent.
