Gardaí have begun a murder investigation into the death of a mother of five in Kilkenny.
Siobhan Stapleton was found shortly after 1pm on Friday outside her home in Kilfane, Thomastown with serious injuries.
The 51-year-old was pronounced dead as she was being transferred to hospital in Dublin.
After a postmortem carried out yesterday, detectives said they had begun a murder investigation.
Gardaí have appealed for anyone who saw anything suspicious in the area to come forward.
