BRUSSELS - A new kidnapping drama came to an end at the weekend as Belgian police prepared to resume searching homes owned by Marc Dutroux, now suspected of master minding a paedophile ring.

Two Belgian teenage girls were found on Saturday in the German city of Cologne after being kidnapped on Thursday in Liege, eastern Belgium, further heightening anxieties in a country already traumatised by the Dutroux case.
