The Minister for Defence, Mr Barrett, was yesterday urged by a local authority not to sell the confiscated drugs yacht, the Brime, but to make it available to the Naval Service as a training vessel.
Cork County Council backed a call by Cllr Alan Coleman to have funding made available to refurbish the 64 foot vessel.
