ADELAIDE - The former Australian Prime Minister, Mr Paul Keating, has kept his final election promise and has retired from politics, Brian Donaghy reports. Mr Keating (53) has been a Labour member of the federal parliament for nearly 27 years and was prime minister for almost four years until heavily defeated in last month's general election.
