Sacramento - Mr Theodore Kaczynski, the former professor accused of being the "Unabomber", was declared mentally competent yesterday to stand trial for murder. Both defence attorneys and prosecutors accepted the conclusions of a psychiatric expert who deemed him competent after interviewing him for nine hours. He has pleaded innocent to charges related to bombings which killed three people and injured 23.
