PARIS - The French Prime Minister, Mr Alain Juppe yesterday rejected an ultimatum by Corsican nationalists who have threatened to carry a campaign of violence to the French mainland unless Paris meets their demands.

"I intend to make Corsica a tax break zone, but I won't accept it being a law free zone," Mr Juppe said.
