The trial date has been set for a man charged with having a bomb in a car on Dublin's M50 motorway.

The trial date has been set for a man charged with having a bomb in a car on Dublin's M50 motorway.

Martin O'Rourke, 23, of Sheepmore Grove in Blanchardstown, Dublin, will reappear at the Special Criminal Court on June 27th this year.

Mr O'Rourke is charged with the unlawful possession of an improvised explosive device at the Westlink Toll Plaza, Castleknock, on December 8th last year.

He is also charged with membership of an unlawful organisation, namely the Irish Republican Army.

Judge Paul Butler was told the trial would last two to three weeks.
