The arrest has been ordered of a Dublin woman who has been convicted of failing to control her Staffordshire bull terrier.

Tracy Dingle, Kiltalown Road, Tallaght, was due before Tallaght District Court to answer a summons for not having her dog under control at Kiltalown Road on May 21st, but she failed to appear.

South Dublin County Council litter warden Philip Behan told Judge James McDonnell that he had issued an on-the-spot fine, which had been unpaid.

Judge James McDonnell said he would convict the defendant.

He added: “I take a dim view of people who have dogs of restricted breeds outside their home uncontrolled.”

The judge then issued an arrest warrant.
