This week's Budget should, include provisions to enable women working in the home to re enter the workforce though State training schemes, according to the Fianna Fail spokesman on equality and law reform, Mr Michael Woods. He said training programmes were closed to women who worked full time in the home unless they met means tested criteria and were on the live register.
