Farah Exports, which makes jeans mainly for export to Britain, closed its factory in Ballyhaunis, Co Mayo, on Friday last with the loss of 80 jobs to the town, according to a SIPTU shop steward in the factory, Ms Frances Keaveney. The company has relocated its operation to Kiltimagh, 13 miles away.
