Japes and drapes

ON Thursday night designer Richard Lewis showed his collection in the suitably elegant surroundings of the Solomon Gallery in Dublin. The surprise of the show was when the playful designer, who is well known for his jersey evening dresses, sent a male model down the catwalk wearing some rather fetching sarongs and a matt jersey kaftan. He insisted it wasn't a gimmick - "I just want to show how versatile my clothes can be."
