Tokyo prosecutors indicted fund manager Yoshiaki Murakami on charges of insider trading in a deal involving scandal-hit Internet firm Livedoor, Kyodo News said this morning.

Mr Murakami, a former trade bureaucrat known for aggressively squeezing corporate value out of the companies that he targets, was arrested on June 5th for allegedly trading on advance knowledge of a takeover bid launched by Internet firm Livedoor.
