STRASBOURG - The European Court of Human Rights yesterday threw out a case brought by the jailed terrorist Ilich Ramirez Sanchez (46), also known as "Carlos" and "the Jackal", who claimed French agents illegally arrested him in Sudan in 1994.

The court said Carlos's complaint was unfounded, French radio reported. His lawyers had claimed he was kidnapped in Sudan by French officials acting without an international arrest warrant and taken in chains to Paris.
