Tributes were paid yesterday to the late John Hunt and his family at the opening of the Jack Yeats exhibition at the Hunt Museum in Limerick.

Ms Patricia Quinn of the Arts Council said it was wonderful to see so many of the works of Jack Yeats together, many of which had come from private collections. She regretted that John Hunt jnr was "in poor health at present". The recent controversy regarding the origin of some of the Hunt Collection had affected him very much.
